Three surfaces, one editing system
Pireel is published in three related forms. Keeping their boundaries clear prevents hosted, open-source and agent capabilities from being confused.
Open-source Studio
The browser editor, composition engine, themes, local media handling and client export are available in the public repository under AGPL-3.0-only. The minimal shell runs without an account or backend; provider-backed features require configuration.
Agent and MCP workflow
The Apache-2.0 agent plugin connects Codex, Claude Code and compatible MCP clients to the hosted Studio. OAuth protects project access; edits become ordinary, inspectable composition changes.
